Micaela Kingslight

Guide, Ethos Advocacy Institute

Micaela Kingslight is a professional musician, vocalist, songwriter, producer, and lifelong music educator whose work explores the relationship between voice, body, authentic expression, and human connection. A multi-instrumentalist and seasoned performer, she has toured extensively throughout the United States and the Americas as both a solo artist and collaborative musician.

An Experiential Approach to Voice

Developing Vocal Embodiment

Micaela has taught music for more than 25 years and is a certified Hatha Yoga and Vocal Yoga instructor. Drawing on decades of performance, teaching, and movement practice, she developed Vocal Embodiment, an experiential approach combining vocal exercises, breath, somatic movement, and body awareness to help people access greater strength, range, confidence, and freedom in their voices.

Why Voice Matters to Advocates

An Embodied Instrument

Her work is particularly relevant to advocates because voice is more than volume or technique. How we breathe, where we hold tension, whether we allow ourselves to be heard, and whether our voice feels connected to what we actually mean all affect how another human being experiences us.

At Ethos, Micaela helps lawyers explore the voice as an embodied instrument of advocacy—developing greater presence, expressive range, confidence, and authentic connection.

Her work invites advocates to move beyond trying to sound persuasive and discover what happens when voice, body, intention, and meaning become aligned.
